Old-World Pizza



Ingredients:
  • 1 pkg. (1/4 oz) active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water (110°-115°)
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 can (8 oz) pizza sauce
  • 1 lb. ground beef, browned and drained
  • 2 cups sliced pepperoni
  • 1 1/2 cups (6 oz) shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups (6 oz) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
  1. In a mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water.
  2. Add flour, oil, sugar and salt
  3. Beat vigorously 20 strokes.
  4. Cover and let rest about 15 minutes.
  5. With buttered fingers, pat crust into a greased 15x10" pan.
  6. Cover with pizza sauce. Sprinkle with toppings.
  7. Bake at 425° for 15-20 minutes or until crust and cheese are lightly browned.
**You can add onions, olives, mushrooms, green peppers, bacon and Italian sausage. Whatever your tastes are.
