Hearty Hash Brown Dinner
Ingredients:
- 3 c. frozen shredded hash brown potatoes
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onion (or 1 T. minced)
- 1 pkg 16 oz frozen California-blend vegetables
- 1 can (10 3/4 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 c. milk
- 12 oz process cheese (Velveeta, cubed) or cheeze whiz
- 1 can (2.8 oz) french-fried onions
Directions:
- Place potatoes in a lightly greased 5 qt slow cooker; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- In a skillet, cook beef & onion & drain. Spoon over potatoes.
- Top with vegetables
- Combine soup & milk; pour over vegetables.
- Cover & cook on low for 4 to 4 1/2 hours.
- Stir in cheese; cover & cook 30 mins longer or until cheese is melted.
- Just before serving, sprinkle with french-fried onions.
